Gloucestershire PCTs hold Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with the in-county providers for the provision of health care services to our resident population. The SLA is the contract and as such details the level of activity purchased, the cost of the activity, standards for treatment and monitoring details.

The following SLAs are negotiated and maintained jointly by the three countywide PCTs:

In addition to the SLAs that Gloucestershire PCTs hold with in-county providers, Gloucestershire has also negotiated and secured SLAs with out-of-county trusts. This is to ensure that the population of Gloucestershire has available a range of services including those specific to medical need and appropriate for accessibility. Close monitoring and management of the out-of-county SLAs is undertaken by Commissioning Leads in the PCTs.

Out-of-county SLAs are managed on a lead PCT basis (i.e. one PCT negotiates and monitors the contract on behalf of all three). The detail for each out-of-county SLA are held by the relevant lead PCT. The contracts are managed as follows:
