
Gloucestershire Community Safety Partnership (GCSP) is a team of statutory agency chief officers, assisted by the voluntary sector, which ensures the countywide delivery of the national ‘Updated Drugs Strategy’ and local Alcohol Strategy. It further brings together the work of the six Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships. The Partnership is chaired in 2006 by Mick Matthews, Assistant Chief Constable, Gloucestershire Constabulary, and the Health Community is represented by Caroline Fowles, Chief Executive, Cheltenham & Tewkesbury PCT.
The Drug and Alcohol Team (the DAAT) is a small staff team of managers working on behalf of the GCSP, who have a lead role for each of the four elements of the national Updated Drugs Strategy and local Alcohol Strategy. The team works countywide.
Colin Hassall; Head of DAAT, leads on Reducing Supply and Young People's Commissioning; Steve O'Neill, Adult Treatment Commissioning Manager, leads on Adult Treatment Services; Alison Hustwitt, Communitirs Manager leads on the inter-agency work with Communities, parents, Carers and Service Users; Justin Dunne, Young Peoples Substance Misuse Service Manager, manages a service for under 18’s.
