Ruth FitzJohn came to the health service from an international career in IT management and strategic planning. Whilst taking a family career break, Ruth chaired the Maternity Services Liaison Committee of Gloucestershire Health Authority and went on to serve as a Non Executive Director and Vice Chair of East Gloucestershire NHS Trust for 4 years. Ruth lives in Cheltenham with her partner and two children.
